AI without all the noise.
AI is everywhere. Depending on who you listen to, it's either going to completely transform your business by Tuesday or bring about the end of civilisation sometime before lunch. The reality is a little less dramatic.
Used properly, AI can be an incredibly useful tool. It can save time, spark ideas, simplify repetitive jobs and help small businesses do things that previously needed much bigger teams. The important bit is knowing where it actually helps. That's what I'm here for.
Making AI make sense
You don't need to understand large language models, machine learning or whatever new acronym appeared on LinkedIn this morning. You just need to understand what these tools can realistically do for you.
I help individuals and businesses get comfortable with AI in plain English, looking at what you currently do, where you're losing time and which tools could genuinely make everyday work easier. No jargon. No pretending AI can solve everything. Just useful technology explained by a human.
AI for your business
There's a lot more to AI than asking ChatGPT to write an email. Used thoughtfully, it can become part of all sorts of everyday workflows. I can help explore things like:
- AI assistants
- Content and idea generation
- Research workflows
- Business automation
- Customer support tools
- Internal knowledge assistants
- Image and creative tools
- Document processing
- Data organisation
- Repetitive admin tasks
- Custom prompts and workflows
- AI-powered website features
- Team training and guidance
AI training for real people
You shouldn't need a computer science degree to use modern technology. I offer approachable AI guidance and training for individuals, teams and businesses who want to understand what's available and how to use it confidently.
That could mean getting your team comfortable with tools like ChatGPT, understanding good prompting, exploring practical use cases or learning where AI probably shouldn't be used. Ask questions. Try things. Get things wrong. That's usually a much better way to learn than sitting through 87 slides about digital transformation.
Finding the right tools
There are thousands of AI and digital tools promising to revolutionise absolutely everything. You probably don't need 99% of them. I can help you cut through the noise, look at what you're trying to achieve and identify tools that actually make sense for the way you work.
Sometimes that'll involve AI. Sometimes it'll be a simple automation. And occasionally the best answer is to leave something exactly as it is. Technology should solve problems, not create new ones.
Smarter workflows
A surprising amount of time disappears into tiny repetitive jobs. Copying information between systems. Writing similar emails. Organising documents. Creating the same type of content. Updating spreadsheets. Answering the same questions. Individually, they don't seem like much.
Add them together across a year and suddenly there's a lot of time disappearing. I can help identify opportunities to streamline those processes using AI, automation and better digital tools, while keeping a human involved where a human actually matters.
Creative AI
This is where things get particularly interesting. AI is opening up completely new ways to explore ideas across design, imagery, video, audio, content and interactive experiences.
I can help businesses understand and use these tools as part of a wider creative process rather than simply pressing a button and accepting whatever comes out. The technology can be incredibly powerful. Taste, direction and judgement still matter. A lot.
Building with AI
AI isn't only something you chat to. It can also become part of websites, apps and digital experiences. Depending on your project, I can explore AI-powered features such as intelligent assistants, interactive tools, content systems, search experiences, automations and custom digital ideas built around your business.
If you've got one of those “Would it be possible if...?” ideas, send it over. Those are usually the interesting ones.
Using it responsibly
Just because AI can do something doesn't necessarily mean it should. Privacy, copyright, accuracy, transparency and data protection all matter, particularly when AI starts being used inside a business.
I'll encourage sensible, responsible use alongside the exciting stuff. That means understanding what you're putting into these systems, checking important outputs, keeping humans involved and thinking about the information you're working with. AI should be useful without becoming reckless.
Human first. Technology second.
I'm excited about AI. I'm also quite fond of humans. The best use of technology isn't replacing every person and automating every conversation. It's taking away some of the repetitive stuff so people have more time for the things they're actually good at.
Ideas. Relationships. Creativity. Judgement. Running the business. AI is another tool in the box, albeit a particularly clever one.
Curious about what AI could do for you?
You don't need to arrive with a technical brief. You might have a specific idea, a repetitive task driving you slightly mad or simply a feeling that your business should probably be making better use of AI. Tell me what you're doing now. We'll figure out what could be done better.
