Accessibility Statement
Accessibility is part of how I design, not something I bolt on at the end. I have built this site to aim at WCAG 2.2 AA.
What I have done
- Semantic HTML with a sensible heading structure on every page
- Full keyboard navigation, with a skip-to-content link and visible focus states
- Colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.2 AA across light and dark sections
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful imagery; decorative imagery hidden from screen readers
- Form fields with real labels, clear error messages and helpful autocomplete
- Touch targets sized for comfortable one-handed use on small screens
- Fluid typography that reflows without horizontal scrolling from 320px upwards
- Animation kept restrained and fully disabled when reduced motion is requested
Known limitations
Two things I will be honest about. The draggable sticker wall on the home page is drawn on a canvas, so it is decorative and cannot be operated by keyboard, though nothing important is hidden inside it. And some client project imagery is described briefly rather than exhaustively. If an image needs a fuller description, ask me and I will add one.
How I test it
Pages are checked with keyboard-only navigation, browser accessibility tooling and real mobile devices. Testing is ongoing rather than a one-off exercise.
