Overview

A two-person workshop making homeware from reclaimed timber, selling through markets and a marketplace that took a large cut.

Challenge

Move to a direct shop without adding hours of admin, and keep the site quick on the patchy connections their customers actually browse on.

Approach

A deliberately small catalogue structure with variants and stock handled simply, Stripe Checkout for payment, and order emails that read like a person wrote them.

Design

Product photography on a warm neutral ground, plenty of white space, and a type hierarchy that makes price and delivery unmistakably clear.

Outcome

Margins improved immediately, and the owners can add a product in a few minutes between workshop jobs.
